Full Beekeeping Course in the Lincolnshire Wolds

The full beekeeping course based in various locations through the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB is designed for those who are serious about getting into beekeeping. This multi-day beekeeping course in the Lincolnshire Wolds is run by the Lincolnshire Wolds Honey Company and takes place over several days throughout the beekeeping season, in order to give you detailed insight into a beekeepers season.
The training we offer is based on the British Beekeepers Association beginners course, supplemented by information from the National Bee Unit and current scientific understanding (courtesy of academic literature). The beginners beekeeping course is set in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds, in addition to the training we have a characterful historic venue and a beautiful setting.

Our full beekeeping course is delivered by an experienced Higher Education teacher, who has several years experience in offering beekeeping courses. In order to offer a more personal beekeeping course the group size will not exceed eight participants, this maximises the attention and this beekeeping course is supported by WhatsApp group and professional training materials.

The theory training is supplemented by substantial practical experience at our apiaries. The apiaries we have in the Lincolnshire Wolds have been designed with this beekeeping course in mind. All beginners will carry out hive inspections, swarm control, extract honey and wintering colonies
